I went to Zappos today with my boss and my colleague Jeremy and was pretty fascinated by how much the culture of transparency pervades that company. Nothing it seems is hidden or obfuscated and the walls that typically divide a big company from its customers weren’t there.

So it’s a Ning website that used “twitter” in its URL (illegally probably? since its a trademark?) and somehow gets traction because of that and proves that Twitter needs groups? Wouldn’t any site that aggregates subject based tweets prove that Twitter needs groups? Why is this more special than any other Ning group for mom’s?
