Not everyone is as tech-savvy as you and I. If you look at the statistics, most people are still using Internet Explorer! It’s hard to introduce non-techies to new technology, especially if they already have a tool that accomplishes this task.
The Flock Affinity Editions (Eco and Gloss so far) are aimed at these people. We’re reaching out to women who peruse fashion and gossip sites and saying “hey, there’s a better way to get this information”. We’re introducing new technology to them through content. While Firefox steadily chips away at the other end (moving linearly through the waves of techies and less-techies), we will be introducing better browsing to a group of web denizens who may have never considered changing their browser.

Don’t worry, we will always continue to release our normal version of Flock!
