I don’t think they are. Missing a container API on launch is a huge mis-step. The Drupal community is clamoring for one, and I can just imagine Joomla, vBulletin, Wordpress, etc communities are similarly eager to implement containers into those apps. For one: I think the real potential of Open Social isn’t that Plaxo, etc are doing things with it, but that Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress, et al can implement containers and suddenly a content management system becomes an open source content management PLATFORM. That will be amazing.
