This entirely misses the point. A TechCrunch acquisition will not be the same as a company or publishing M&A, but more akin to a talent movement that you get in Hollywood, music, etc. A “signing” if you will. TechCrunch is not based on readership for content, its readership for (somewhat dubious) content around a single person’s “scoops” and summaries. The analysis? Not there. So will Arrington get signed?
