I’ve been testing the new super-thin Apple Keybaord here at work for a bit and found that my typing speed increased by about 20% vs. my Microsoft ergonomic keyboard. The travel distance and action of this Apple one is fantastic and the lack of barriers between keys means my fingers can fly from one key to another really well. Now, if this one was split and ergonomic, with the same key action and spacing, I’d be set.
As it is, I’m not entirely set and I need to figure out what my next step for keyboarding is.

So just how thin is it? Is it still responsive in terms of key action and feeling durable, or does it feel fragile?

I’m not saying that’s true, that’s just what I say.

After buying one for home and using it for the past few days, I’m going to go out and buy myself one for work too. I’ve always liked ergonomic split keyboards too, but I never realized how great “low” is.
I do use the Mighty Mouse, though, mostly because I haven’t seen any other full-size Bluetooth mice that I like.

I wonder if Apple will ever introduce a split keyboard design. Doesn’t seem to fit their style.
