I agree 100%! Flash is pretty useless and doesn't do anything for a small 'brand.' 

Unless you're Warner Brothers ; {), AOL, Diesel, e.g., The Big Boyz.; then Flash is fine to use.

But, 'most' companies nor people fall into that category, about 99% of us. So using Javascript, CSS, and semantic HTML/XHTML, you have a better chance of being found on the web and your voice being heard.
