This is by far one of my favorite films ever made. If anyone out there reading this has any interest in formal vs. mechanized aesthetics, this film is for you. The perfect play on the environment/nature with the mechanic. The film is much longer than this clip and is very hypnotic in full, especially on a big screen.

This is funny actually. I had the recordings for Accelerate roughly 8 months before the record's release (demos) and then the album about 4 months prior or more. I was so paranoid about it that I'd take the ipod with me everywhere (ie, not leave in the glove box when valeting the car) and not play it too loud at our house. I'm actually surprised this hasn't happened more frequently via people hanging out by record companies patios and such. If someone were to stalk outside my house right now they'd only hear the Gin Blossom's, sorry.

I think the key to technology within labels is to embrace what is afforded to us through what progress has brought rather than run from it. In the past, new technology was treated as a "how can we stop it, how can we capitalize on it." I (and my colleagues and my boss) view technology with the notion of how it extends the art and artists that we represent.
