Slapvid: Peer to Peer Video in Your Browser: I hope people realize that Flash COULD and SHOULD enable P2P type systems within their player. Of all the areas neglected in Flash its the socket connection. All that this thing is really doing is proxying the P2P through a Java applet, because Java’s socket support (specifically UDP support) is much better than Flash. Good idea, but only predicated on the inability of Flash to do the same. Thats an interesting predicate that Adobe should be aware of and hopefully developing toward. Mesh network Flash? Come on.
