‘Microsoft sucks’, says top blogger-Business-Industry Sectors-Technology-TimesOnline
: I’m sure its been said before, but Windows Live reminds me a whole lot of .NET. No one knows what it is, how to talk about it, or what it means, and yet Microsoft seems to think they are explaining it really, really well. Why is it that Microsoft can’t for the life of them make an understandable initiative and put it into the market?

It would be funny if it wasn’t so pathetic. The desire to cram the word ‘Live’ into the name of everything - in a situation where the word Live has no meaning, no relevance and adds nothing to understanding. Just that someone came up with this idea that brand coherence requires that the same words are used across many products. The answer is that Microsoft doesn’t understand what its products are for either. Mind you, Google aren’t much better - take a look at ‘Google Docs and Spreadsheets’. Only its mother could love it.
