How to get rid of Snap’s obnoxious link previews - Download Squad: what is the value add of Snap? I haven’t understood that as of yet. What is the value add of augmenting a simple function (LINK) with extraneous contextual information that would be better served, UI wise, in a dedicated area on the page. Status bars exist for a reason people. They are rather nice. As are status AREA’s within a given application. I thought UI design should have prohibited gratuitous uses of hover-over layers like overgrown, cancerous tool-tips.

Trailfire Launches Advanced Social Bookmarking Tool : since when has a browser based plugin had an uptake that made it an essential tool to market? Grease Monkey is one, but none of the “social” plugins did much for me, and those that were around in the first-wave died rather quickly. Seems like a foolish proposition for a business model.

Can someone explain this meme going around the blogosphere? It’s raised my Technorati ranking up to 13,622 (which is nice, but also sad as it illuminates how kind of worthless that ranking is). I don’t get it though. Is my face showing up random places? And my pug consequently? Anyone?
