Second Life hucksters - Valleywag: I think ultimately what Denton is forgetting is that ultimately everything democratizes and equalizes into the general noise of the top 1%. Meaning: no matter the intentions at the beginning, everything eventually comes to resemble everything else, where that “everything else” is the highway/billboard/bombast which has typified the American experience since Columbus turned an accident into imperialistic hype.
