Water Pressure

I’m a bit worried here. We replaced fixtures in our upstairs bathrooms and I thought it’d improve water pressure through them, but it did not. Instead it reduced it to at trickle (from the sinks) and a tepid “bleh” from the showers. The laundry room and kitchen have full pressure, so the supply into the house is fine.

I’m thinking that the supply upstairs is not fine, but how do we fix it? Do we put a pressure pump somewhere? I do not want to do re-piping (and I think HOA has to do it). The thought of re-piping on top of our pant problems makes me want to cry.

Any advise?

We had the same problem after a water heater repair in the basement. Turns out there were some high points in the system that had trapped air (they drained the house to fix the heater problem). The plumber told us it would take a couple of weeks but eventually the air would be resorbed and the pressure would come back. He was right.
Make sure you have opened up all the valves (fixtures) in the water system to ensure there is no hidden air pockets. That might help.

Try removing the new heads and letting the water run through - that should force out any air or sediment in the system. Turn all the water on upstairs as well as flush the toilet - it should help a lot.
