is it my imagination…

Or is delicious getting unbearably slow? I haven’t been bookmarking as much stuff because the round-trip for the bookmarklet is getting too long. Plus they added all that Javascript jankiness to the post screen (suggested tags, etc). That brought page weight and rendering time up.

Some things that need to happen:

- Faster round-trip to bookmark
- Safari needs to get better (stupid beachball happens way too often still, for a second generation version)
- Someone needs to program an asynchronous delicious bookmarklet.

Please?

I gave up on del.icio.us and started using ma.gnolia.

To begin with ma.gnolia was pretty sluggish for me, but over the last month or so the speed has been great and I have come to rely on their feature of making a permanent copy of the page that you mark.

If you tried it out initially I would definitely recommend giving them another shot.

del.icio.us has always had bouts of slowness and not-workingness; it’s not your imagination that it’s happening, only that it’s new. I find Pukka to be a better way to post than the standard bookmarklet.

Thanks for that suggestion (Pukka). Its exactly what i was looking for. Asynchronous posting that doesn’t take up a browser HTTP request.
